How do we best encourage young women of color to effect change in the spaces they already occupy? This conversation aims to discuss strategies and tools for empowering students to change the rhetoric and attitudes around gender and sexism in their school.
Join us for a SLA-student-led exploration of how to engage young people in authentic social justice discussions and actions. This session seeks to map out ways for all of us to authentically understand, engage in, and make a positive impact across the spectrum of of social justice within our schools. From here, we will seek to identify ways to share our own stories while ensuring that all others can and will have an equal voice, too.
