Personalized, not Individualized
Personalization is a hot button issue. The prospect of a student centered, inquiry-driven approach is enticing and personalization is a critical piece of that puzzle. The manner in which personalization is used often invokes technology as tool for efficiency and streamlining that definitely individualizes the instruction, but may not actually attend to the 'person' part of personalization. Please join me to discuss the promises and perils of personalization in modern schools.
